Miranda Krestovnikoff

Miranda is a vivacious history and wildlife presenter who rarely seems to leave our screens.

Miranda is The One Show’s female wildlife expert and has been presenting nationwide natural history stories on the show for the last 5 years.

As a biologist and diver she is one of the original Coast team members, and is currently working on series 9 and 10 of this BAFTA awards winning show.

Having recently branched into radio, Miranda is now a regular on BBC Radio 4’s Costing the Earth, Living World and Tweet of the Day.

She is an accomplished musician and great lover of classical music and so was delighted to be able to present the BBC Proms 2010. Additional musical credits include hosting weekend breakfast shows for Radio 3.

Miranda has also presented for the National Geographical Society and UK and Irish Dive shows.

In early 2013 she fronted a campaign on behalf of the NHS for The national institute of health research national bio resource (NBR). Miranda also writes articles for tourism, lifestyle and leisure, including Diver magazine, and co-wrote Scuba Diving for the DK Eyewitness Companions series. She has also written two books Miranda Krestovnikoff's Best British Beaches and Beach.

Miranda is Patron of WDC, and the Alderney Wildlife Trust vice president of The Rivers & Canals Trust, and is involved with a number of charities including The RSPB, The National Trust, WWT, Sustrans, and SCS, and a supporter of many others as well.
