Twists Pasta Bar

Adam and Jeff started the company back in 2011 after winning a 3 month 'test the market store' in a central location in Huddersfield.

This proved a massive success and plans immediately started to take the company further. As they started this process, they heard about the programme and had to apply. It was a great opportunity to spread the word about their business idea and generate interest further afield. With their ideas and expertise, they felt that the opportunity to work with Richard Reed would develop the company and increase its chances of success.

Adam completed a BTEC in Sports Studies at college, which contained various elements of management and nutrition. He then decided it was time for a break from education. His career started as a jack of all trades from gym instructing to lifeguarding but quickly developed into a managerial role.

After a few years of the job and running small businesses on the side, he decided it is time to move on from sport and fitness and look at Business Management - which he is now currently studying at the University of Huddersfield.

Jeff grew up in the lake district and from a young age was competing in many high level sports within the region. He completed his A-levels learning a lot about health and the human body and moved straight to the University of Huddersfield. He started studying the Enterprise Development course which Theo Paphitis is the ambassador for and is all about starting up businesses.

His interest in business came from a program he did at school called "Young Enterprise" where his team reached the regional finals.
