First-timer in the competition, Lorna McNee hails from the Highlands in Scotland.

Nine years ago she joined Restaurant Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles in Scotland – the only restaurant in Scotland to hold 2 Michelin stars. Lorna began as an apprentice and has since worked her way up to sous chef.

A perfectionist and fiercely competitive chef, she was crowned Scottish Chef of the Year 2017 and Game Chef of the Year 2016. Her exacting boss Andrew Fairlie warns “underestimate Lorna at your peril”.

Lorna’s menu aims to achieve the impossible and showcase the very best modern techniques to celebrate the NHS with a meal that’ll never be forgotten.
