Diaries from Shackleton’s Antarctic expedition

Rupert has been in the book world since 1985 and most of his career has been spent working for and running a specialist auction house.

Rupert has been taking auctions internationally for the last 25 years and regularly travels abroad in search of new business – from individual books to entire libraries.

Despite being a relative newcomer to the Antiques Roadshow, Rupert has already come across some memorable items. At Dartmouth, he discussed some valuable diaries relating to Ernest Shackleton’s Antarctic expedition, and at Wimbledon he saw a wealth of items relating to Dr Lynn – the illusionist who inspired none other than 'Harry Handcuffs Houdini'!
