I Feel The Love
Eric Lumiere, Joakim Buddee, Laura White & Roel Rats
Formed in 2013, the girls from Goldstone are vocal powerhouses, comfortable with performing live in front of audiences of all shapes and sizes, be they intimate UK gigs or international concerts in front of thousands. Each member is a talent in their own right, each having carved out a professional career in music and on stage.
Creative director of Goldstone, Aimie, fell in love with singing at a young age; "My dad took me to a recording studio for the first time and I remember being mesmerised with it all." Having won the BBC Voice of Musical Theatre award, judged by Elaine Page and Michael Ball, Aimie more recently played Katherine Howard in Six, a musical about the wives of Henry VIII.
Helen is inspired by empowering women who are creating their own empires. A talented actress, she plays piano and has appeared in stage adaptations of The King and I and South Pacific. Catching the acting bug from a young age, her first big TV role came when she got the role of Khush in CBBC drama iDream, based on the members of S Club Juniors.
Rhiannon, from South Wales, made her professional debut on the 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables. Previously a musical theatre actress, she also appeared in the Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Tour. Rhiannon doesn't just have a keen interest in pop and rock music, she also likes comedy The League of Gentlemen and is a huge fan of GIFs.
What's the most interesting aspect of your song?
We think the most interesting aspect of our song is that it's so hopeful! It makes you feel positive about the world. It' doesn't matter who you are, who you love or where you come from. We can always come together and unite. The feeling of 'love don't hate' is the resounding message of our song.
Tell us a few things people might not know about you?
Aimie was once in a musical about Eurovision called Eurobeat. She represented Italy and the show was hosted by You Decide host Mel Giedroyc! Helen once played Diana Ross in Dancing in The Streets - a Motown musical. Rhiannon is a keen drummer.
Do you have a lucky routine before going on stage?
Helen has to jump up and down four times before going on stage. If she doesn't do it she feels like she'll give a bad performance! We also always have to do the circle of love, which is basically holding hands in a circle and sharing the positivity and visualising a great performance. After a performance we have a very important tradition - we always get pizza!
