ICU consultant: Covid hoax claims are ‘demoralising’ after giving everything to patients

A Manchester ICU consultant has said that people protesting outside hospitals claiming that coronavirus is not real is ‘demoralising’ for colleagues who have done a 12-hour shift and “given everything to their patients”.

'Dr Al’, who has regularly spoken to Stephen Nolan since March 2020 about his experiences in ICU said he struggled to sleep after a two year-old patient died without her mother being able to be in the room because of the risk of Covid-19.
