For Black students studying at one of the most prestigious university's in the world, academic pressure isn't always the only challenge, for some it can feel like a new world.
For Black students studying at one of the most prestigious universities in the world – academic pressure isn’t always the only challenge. For some - it can feel like entering a new world. Over the years - Oxbridge and Cambridge universities have come under scrutiny for their lack of ethnic and social diversity. Last year - the numbers improved with Cambridge accepting a record number of 91 UK Black undergraduates. But beyond numbers, is the experience. Over the past year BBC reporter and Cambridge graduate Ashley John-Baptiste has followed three of those students, to find out what it's really like for them being Black at Cambridge during a year of a global pandemic and rising racial tensions.
