It is normal to feel vulnerable and overwhelmed as we read news about the outbreak, especially if you have experienced trauma or a mental health issues in the past. People with long-term physical health conditions can also feel more vulnerable to the effects of the coronavirus. It’s important to acknowledge these feelings and remind each other that staying healthy is as much about your mind as it is about your body.
Somerset County Council's Public Health team has launched a new ‘Healthy, Happy and Safe’ campaign on the Healthy Somerset website, aimed at countering the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic. The website includes information on how to access help and support across a range of public health topics. There is a special families and children section plus lots of suggestions of fun and interesting things to do for everyone, while we stay at home.
