Are we prepared for a global outbreak of contagious diseases?

A contagious disease spreads aorund the world within 36 hours, killing 50-80 million people. That's not a disaster movie, that's the warning from the World Health Organisation. A report due out today, says that the world is not prepared for a disease pandemic. BBC Newsday's Tom Hagler spoke to Michael Osterholm, the author of 'Deadliest Enemy: Our War Against Killer Germs' and director of the Centre for Infectious Diseases Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.
