Trump trade tariff plan ‘will backfire’

Pascal Lamy, the former Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), says US consumers will end up paying more for goods if President Trump's plan to impose tariffs on steel and aluminium imports goes ahead. Mr Trump said the US was losing billions of dollars through 'bad' trade policies, and any trade war would be an easy 'win' for the United States.
