Singing With "the enemy"
Jerusalem has arguably has never felt more divided and anxious following US President Donald Trump's declaration that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. But on Christmas eve a group of Palestinian and Israeli teenagers in the city cast aside the political divide and united in musical harmony. The teenagers are part of the YMCA Jerusalem Youth Chorus which brings together Palestinian and Israeli teenagers in the divided city. Newsday's Paul Hawkins spoke to Micah Hendler, the founder of the choir and the choirmaster.
