Ypres bells - Andrew Wilby interview

St George's Memorial Church in Ypres was built in 1927 to honour the dead of World War One but funds ran out before bells could be fitted. In August 2017, a peel of eight bells – cast by John Taylor & Co. of Loughborough – was eventually hung in the bell tower of St Georges. The tenor weighs six and a quarter hundredweight and is tuned to B. Andrew Wilby, a director of John Taylor & Co., talks about the challenges of casting bells for St George’s.
