Anti-apartheid activist Ahmed Kathrada dies

Veteran South African anti-apartheid activist Ahmed Kathrada has died at the age of 87, after a short illness. He was among eight African National Congress activists -- including Nelson Mandela -- who were sentenced to life imprisonment in 1964. They were convicted of trying to overthrow the apartheid government. Denis Goldberg is a veteran of the struggle for racial equality - and a long time friend of Ahmed Kathrada.
