Pat Nevin: Strachan isn't the problem for Scotland

Manager Gordon Strachan is not the problem for Scotland despite the 3-0 World Cup qualifying defeat by England at Wembley, says Pat Nevin.

Strachan has been under pressure after recent performances, but Nevin - who won 28 caps for Scotland – says results would be similar regardless of who was in charge.

“We've had a lot of managers over the past 20 years. They haven't all been bad managers, we haven't got to the finals of anything, there is something else wrong", the former winger told Kelly Cates and Jermaine Jenas on 5 live Sport.

"That's the best Scotland could have played tonight with the way they set out. 3-0? It's unfair, it's harsh - but there's no embarrassment coming here and getting beat by that scoreline.”
