Iran has rejected calls from Washington to release two Iranian-American citizens: the businessman, Siamak Namazi, and his father Baquer. Each has been sentenced to ten years in jail for 'espionage and collaboration with the US'. But Richard Nephew, a former senior American negotiator with Iran, says the charges are false.
