Over 1,200 people from across the UK have united to form the BBC's first ever Virtual Orchestra, playing over 50 different types of instruments at all levels of ability.

As part of the Last Night of the Proms celebrations, Marin Alsop conducts the virtual orchestra which includes Get Playing ambassador, David Baddiel playing the piano joined by the great British public from all over the UK. From banjos to bagpipes, people dusted off their old instruments - or learned new ones from scratch - and united to form the BBC's first ever Virtual Orchestra.

This is an orchestra unlike any other playing Bizet's Toreador Song as you've never heard it before.
