Oldest example of human cancer found
Scientists in South Africa have discovered the oldest evidence yet of cancer in the human fossil record.
A cancerous foot bone approximately 1.7 million years old predates the previous oldest by more than 1.5 million years.
Dr Patrick Randolph-Quinney, of Wits University and the University of Central Lancashire in the UK, explains the finding.
