The consciousness of bees

What goes through the mind of a bee when it comes across food? Does it feel joy or get excited? Two separate studies show that bees may be far more intelligent than we think and may even have a consciousness that isn't so far removed from that of humans.

BBC Newsday's Alan Kasujja and Tom Hagler spoke to the people behind the theory, Andrew Barron, a cognitive scientist and Colin Klein, a philosopher from Macquarie University in Sydney.
