Farage: EU 'leave' campaigns should unite

UKIP leader Nigel Farage has said he is "very angry" that there has been no merger of the two main 'leave' campaigns in the EU referendum.

Speaking to the Daily Politics, he said Vote Leave had repeatedly refused offers by Leave.EU - backed by UKIP donor Arron Banks - to join forces.

"It just doesn't make sense - we need to have one unified campaign," he told Jo Coburn.

Asked about the draft EU deal, he said the proposed "emergency brake" on migrants' benefits would do nothing to ease public concerns about migration, and predicted that in four years' time "the pull factors to Britain would be even greater than today". This gave the prime minister "a real problem", he told Jo Coburn.
