Video - Christopher Fox's 'The Red Studio' performed by John Snijders (World Premiere)

In a recording made specially for Hear and Now at Maida Vale studios, pianist John Snijders performs the world premiere of The Red Studio by Christopher Fox.

Named after Matisse's famous painting, the piece explores the lost art of "preluding" - when pianists would improvise introductions to, and in between, the different works in a concert.
