Michel'le: Dr. Dre's public apology is 'insincere'
R&B star Michel'le - who was Dr. Dre's girlfriend for six years and had a son with the rapper - said that his public apology is "good PR".
A woman at the centre of physical abuse allegations against Dr. Dre, has said that his public apology to the women he says he "hurt" is "insincere".
R&B star Michel'le - who was his girlfriend for six years and had a son with the rapper - said that Dre's comments were "good PR", during a time when a movie documenting his time with hip hop group N.W.A is out in US cinemas.
Michel'le is one of three women who have claimed that in the past the 50-year-old has been violent towards them.
Dre has not given a specific reason for the apology which he sent to the New York Times.
"Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life," wrote Dre. "However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I've been married for 19 years and every day I'm working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. I'm doing everything I can so I never resemble that man again. I apologize to the women I've hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives."
