Winchester Scouts appeal for leaders

Record numbers of children are on waiting lists to join the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers in Winchester.

The recent Scout census shows that over a hundred extra youngsters have joined the waiting list in the city, making it the longest in Hampshire. It's prompted the association to appeal for leaders and helpers at all levels.

BBC Radio Solent's reporter Neil Sackley - a former Scout leader himself, has been to meet District Commissioner Stephen Parker at the Winchester Scouts's training ground.
