Gaza and Ukraine

Paul Adams reflects on the conflic in Gaza after three decades of reporting there; Lucy Ash meets a Russian volunteer who has travelled thousands of kilometres to fight in Ukraine

The Israelis pulled out of Gaza in 2005 but maintain a tight blockade that has even restricted some food items going in. Paul Adams has been visiting Gaza for over 30 years and he has just completed a reporting trip there where he reports on decades of conflict; Lucy Ash is in Crimea, the patch of land that Russia, depending on your point of view, reclaimed or ripped away from Ukraine. And she has been meeting some of the men who have arrived from all over Russian answering as they see it the call of their motherland.
