Frances Segelman and clay sculpting - introduction
Frances Segelman a figurative sculptor who works in clay and casts in bronze, has sculpted 140 busts which are 3 dimensional portraits. The sculptures shown which she is most proud of are the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Frances describes how sculpting the figurehead was her ambition and it was fantastic although she overcame her nerves to sculpt her. There are short clips of Frances sculpting Derek Jacobi at a charity event and she describes how she tries to capture the look of someone.
