Dylan Thomas reads Ceremony After a Fire Raid

A reading by Dylan Thomas of his famous poem describing his reaction to the death of a young infant in a bombing raid over London in the Second World War. Published in Dylan’s best seller, ‘Deaths and Entrances’ in 1946, this poem was first broadcast by the BBC Home Service in December 1945 for a series called ‘ Poetry Promenade’.
