'Treasure Island' by Robert Louis Stevenson - finding the dead sailor (dramatisation)
Dramatisation of a section from 'Treasure Island' by Robert Louis Stevenson. Jim Hawkins and his mother go to collect money from a sailor who is staying at their inn. When they find him dead, they panic. They take a key from around his neck and use it to open a chest. After a hurried search through the sailor's belongings they find what they are looking for. The mother begins counting out the money into a bag held by the boy. They are disturbed by the sound of a blind man's stick tapping on the road outside; they freeze as the sound gets nearer. Someone tries to open the door but doesn't succeed, and the pair are able to collect all the money they are owed. The clip uses descriptive language and builds suspense.
