Modern prefabricated housing

A report about the introduction of modern pre-manufactured (flat pack) housing and how it differs from existing prefabricated homes. Prefabricated housing was introduced after World War II as a means of providing short-term quick and affordable housing. There exist mixed views on the quality of this type of housing. This report looks at the introduction of modern prefabrication in the form of 'flat pack homes' produced by a Scandinavian housing company. These provide an alternative to traditional brick and block housing. The 'flat pack homes' are quickly erected and offer the same quality as traditional housing while being more eco-friendly. The report includes an interview with a lady who has spent most of her life living in post-war prefabricated housing.
