Lisburn Community Circus

Headroom NI is a BBCNI Learning campaign which focuses on looking after your mental wellbeing. The website aims to bring together local information related to mental wellbeing.

We all know that being active can help keep us in good physical shape but what about our minds? Lisburn Community Circus aims to promote the mental wellbeing and self-confidence of children and young people by teaching them exciting new circus skills. Each week around 50 young people attend the circus workshops at the Island Arts Centre in Lisburn, where their talent and self-esteem is nutured by trained tutors. They learn to master lots of impressive skills such as unicycling, stilt walking and juggling. The project is funded by BBC Children in Need.
