The Repair Shop at Christmas
In the Repair Shop this Christmas, the team take on a bike, a treasured but tired harmonium, a clockwork train set and a beloved 80-year-old bear.
Christmas has arrived at the Repair Shop. Jay Blades and our team of passionate and skilled craftspeople are beavering away like busy Christmas elves repairing and rescuing beloved festive treasures.
A rusted, dilapidated Chopper bike brings brothers Glenn and Andrew to the barn. Once one of the most coveted Christmas presents of the 1960s and 70s, this nostalgic blast from the past needs a complete overhaul so the brothers can relive the excitement of one special Christmas morning.
Next up is a treasured but tired harmonium, once the centrepiece of a Welsh family’s festive celebrations. Now broken and battered, it has stood silent for years. The team pull together and bring the family to tears when they hear it play their favourite Christmas carols for the first time in decades.
Eighty-eight-year-old Beryl brings in a threadbare bear, a reminder of wartime childhood and lost loved ones, and the team also tackle an iconic 1960s clockwork train set with a busted motor and missing wheels. A sprinkle of Repair Shop magic gets the train chugging around the tree in time for Christmas.
The Repair Shop at Christmas is a festive fairy tale celebrating the season of joy and giving, proving that 'make do and mend' is still a philosophy to live by after all these years.
