Britain's Golden Age
Humphrey Lyttelton, Ken Colyer and Chris Barber were leaders in a golden Age of jazz in Britain.
When Humphrey Lyttelton formed his first band in the late 40s he brought with him George Webb and Wally Fawkes to launch what became a golden age of British jazz. Ken Colyer and Chris Barber developed their own brands of jazz interpretation, and many other followed with great success. To these home grown products similar styles from the Continent added to that golden age.
