Also featured are an elegant passacaille by Handel, Saint-Saens's sensual setting of Victor Hugo's poem "Ecstasy", Kodaly's brooding Intermezzo for Strings, a majestic Chorale Prelude on brass by Brahms and Offenbach's effervescent overture to his operetta La Vie Parisenne.
