Formed in 1977 in Sheffield, Def Leppard were part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement, releasing their first EP in 1979 which featured the singles Ride Into The Sun and Wasted. They would go on to release 11 original studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, one cover album, and two more EPs over the band's 40 year career.
