Stuart Maconie presents solo, with a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast
Today Stuart chats to Dave Rowntree of rock band Blur about his involvement with the Beagle 2 mission to Mars and his lifelong interest in space and the stars.
Drummer with Blur since the band's inception, Dave became involved with the Mars mission and the band composed the first music believed to have ever been played on Mars... the unmanned Beagle 2 Mars Lander touched down on the surface of the red planet in 2003 with their track of the same name on board. Ahead of his appearance at Wakefield's Festival of the Moon, Dave catches up with Stuart and discusses his enthusiasm and passion for astronomy.
