Shaun is live from the Bluedot Festival and chats to Hot Chip joining ahead of their headline set tonight and Brian Eno chats in the Music News about his new album.
Shaun is live from the Bluedot Festival - the award-winning festival that fuses music, science and culture at Cheshire’s Jodrell Bank Observatory. This year the festival is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing and has an incredible line-up including Kraftwerk, Hot Chip, New Order, Jon Hopkins, John Grant, Kate Tempest, Jarvis Cocker and Anna Calvi leading the musical bill while Britain’s first astronaut Helen Sharman, activist Helen Pankhurst, Liz Bonnin, James Burke and Associate Director of Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics Professor Tim O’Brien represent on the science and culture programme.
Shaun is joined on the programme by the legendary Brian Eno to chat about his new album inspired by the race to the moon. Plus, the Cheshire Beekeepers tell us all about the lifecycle of bees, what threats they are under and what can be done about it and Shaun learns all about his DNA, chatting to Dr Joe Latimer, Dr Sarah Withers and Dr Ian Goodhead from The University of Salford who have a mobile DNA lab. Hot Chip chat in the final hour ahead of their headline set tonight and Clare Crane is here with the latest Music News.
