Jamie’s guest this week is LA-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Louis Cole, who shares his influences and the artists he’s loving right now.

From James Brown to Mario Kart Super Nintendo, Louis Cole’s influences are wide-ranging, and his funky jazz-inspired music has caught the attention of everyone from Quincy Jones and Flying Lotus to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Louis founded the pop/electro funk band Knower in 2009 and released his album Time on Brainfeeder last year. He has worked with the likes of Thundercat, Brad Mehldau and Genevieve Artadi.
