The Uplands Alliance is concerned that Defra is yet to pass on funding to support the pilot projects for the new Environmental Land Management Scheme, the scheme that will replace farm subsidies post-Brexit. The group fears that the new system will not be tested fully before farmers have to start applying to join the scheme.
Farmers across Scotland are using modern technology to fight back against sheep rustling. In the past this was a small scale, opportunist crime. But these days, it's organised, sophisticated and thousands of animals are disappearing from British farms every year.
