Nell Bryden performs live in the Radio 2 Piano Room and Zara Larsson selects her favourite songs in the Tracks of My Years.
Nell Bryden performs live in the Radio 2 Piano with music from her latest EP called Soundtrack To Little Wing - Part One. The record is actually a companion to her debut novel Little Wing and was the first time that Nell has taken on the role of producer on her own work. Nell and her touring group recorded directly to two-inch tape at Ray Davies' famed Konk Studios and they were joined by Tom Jones' horn section as well as a string quartet arranged by Richard Ashcroft’s musical director. The new songs have been mixed by 12-time Grammy-winner Jay Newland. Nell is a New York born, London based singer-songwriter who has toured with Counting Crows and KT Tunstall. She was also invited by Gary Barlow to support him on his solo tour and Cher has covered one of her songs, Sirens.
Zara Larsson picks the Tracks of My Years with songs from Ariana Grande and Whitney Houston. At the age of ten, Zara got her first break by winning Sweden’s Got Talent and she hoped to start her career there and then. However, it was a couple of years later at the age of thirteen when Zara achieved her dream of landing a record deal. Then aged fifteen Zara released her first song Uncover which reached number one in Sweden. Her biggest YouTube hit, the unmistakable ear worm Lush Life has over 620 million views. Zara is currently touring across Europe supporting Ed Sheeran on his latest stadium tour as well as performing at her own headline shows. Her latest single Don't Worry Bout Me is out now with an album expected later this year.
