Max Reinhardt with Suzanne Ciani’s mixtape
Pioneering electronic composer, sound designer and master of the Buchla synthesizer, Suzanne Ciani, plays 30 minutes of music from across the spectrum.
Another chance to hear a mixtape compiled by pioneering electronic composer, sound designer and master of the Buchla synthesizer, Suzanne Ciani.
Described as "America's first female synth hero", Ciani is one of the most innovative artists of the last forty years. Working at the intersection of new age music, electronic experiments, and classical composition, her work has been heard in cinemas and concert halls, on adverts and pinball machines.
Plus, new art music from Lithuania, Australian improvising trio The Necks; and ‘part band, part book club’ Oracle Hysterical retell the ancient Greek tale of Hecuba, the disgraced Queen of Troy, through the medium of avant-rock enhanced by bassoon and viola da gamba.
