Music 'til Midnight, the best in timeless standards and late night sounds performed by Carmen McRae, Pearl Bailey and Michael Buble. Tonight's featured album is Louis Armstrong Meets Oscar Peterson - the 1957 collaboration between two of the jazz world's most celebrated performers. Oscar's all-star quartet featuring himself on piano, Herb Ellis on guitar, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Louie Bellson provided Satchmo with the ideal backdrop for his gravelly scat vocals and superlative trumpet playing. The featured titles include Just One of Those Things, Sweet Lorraine and Let's Fall In Love. Plus Bobby Darin, Catherine Russell and Tony Bennett celebrate 'the Armstrong legacy' and there's a look back at the work of arranger Oliver Nelson with recordings by flautist Herbie Mann and 'the godfather of soul' James Brown.
