#MASO and #MFIFriday

Friday is all about your Middle Age Shout Outs and Shaun kicks off #MFIFriday. Plus poet Murray Lachlan Young. And Matt Everitt has a brand new Robert Smith remix from The Cure.

Friday is all about your Middle Age Shout Outs - get involved via #maso. Plus, Shaun continues the Earworm search and our poet Murray Lachlan Young joins after 9am with another bespoke poem to wrap up the week - today it's all about Shaun's use of the word disingenuous... but what does it actually mean?

There is new music from James and something special from The Cure - a brand new radical remix of The Cure song 'Want' called The Time Mix (4.40), it was remixed by Robert Smith last year and will appear on a 3CD set called "The Cure Mixed Up And Mixed Up Extras 2018" which is a deluxe version of their 1990 remix album called Mixed Up.

Plus - Matt Everitt has the latest Music News featuring Wilko Johnson, Laura Marling and The Wonderstuff all chatting... and Friday sees Shaun playing a track from today's Album of the Day from Tom Misch - a producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer from South London. Geography is his debut album, which was released last Friday (6th April) through his own Beyond The Groove label / Kobalt Music and features collaborations with the likes of Goldlink, De La Soul, Poppy Ajudha and Loyle Carner. The album is named after Tom's other passion, the one he didn't pursue, and also references his interest in music from around the world.
