Preparing for Lent
Great guests and music as the Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad start your Sunday.
There's a fresh new sound to Sunday mornings on Radio 2 as the Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad come together to co-present Good Morning Sunday.
This week Jason and Kate discover how listeners are preparing for Lent. Some are trying to avoid buying food wrapped in plastic while others are giving up meat, chocolate or alcohol whilst guest Debbie Wright throws down the challenge to take something on during Lent.
We also hear from this week's Charity Champions Greg Bailey and Jude Massey who are rowing across the Atlantic for a cause close to their heart. Comedian Tez Ilyas talks to Kate and Jason about how he uses humour to dispel misconceptions about life as a modern British Muslim and Canon Ann Easter talks about the meaning of Lent and her work as spiritual adviser to Celebrity Big Brother.

Stand up comedian Tez Ilyas describes himself as ‘A Muslim, a Northerner, a working-class man of faith” – all labels he owns, but what does he really think of them?
