Friday - Petroc Trelawny

Petroc Trelawny is joined in the studio by the BBC Singers, who perform the six shortlisted finalists in the Breakfast Carol Competition. Plus the day's JS Bach prelude and fugue.

Petroc Trelawny presents Radio 3's classical breakfast show with the BBC Singers live in the studio performing the six shortlisted entries in the Breakfast Carol Competition. This year, we challenged amateur composers to create a 21st-century carol for a 15th-century text: Sir Christemas. Listeners have been invited to vote for the overall winner, and to vote for your favourite carol go to bbc.co.uk/radio3. Voting opens at 9am today and closes at 5pm on December 21st, with the winner being announced in Breakfast on Friday December 22nd.
