Mark presents solo and is joined by singer-songwriter Rostam. A founding member of indie rock band Vampire Weekend, he has now embarked on a solo career. Born in Washington, DC in 1983 Rostam Batmanglij studied classical music at Columbia University. It was there he met Ezra Koenig, Chris Tomson and Chris Baio and formed Vampire Weekend, playing guitar and keyboards as well as singing, songwriting and producing the band's three albums. With hits singles including 'Oxford Comma', 'Mansard Roof', and 'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa', the band went on to win a Grammy in 2014 for their third album. Rostam left Vampire Weekend at the beginning of 2016 and by the end of the year he had contributed song-writing and production to Frank Ocean's Blonde, Solange's A Seat At The Table and made a collaborative album with The Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser. Currently on tour in Europe, he joins Mark to discuss his debut solo album 'Half-Light'.
