Monsignor Quixote

Episode 5 of 5

Madrid correspondent Guy Hedgecoe follows Graham Greene's travels around post-Franco Spain in the late 1970s. These inspired his novel Monsignor Quixote, and a deep friendship.

To complement BBC Radio 4's season of Graham Greene dramas, Madrid correspondent Guy Hedgecoe follows Graham Greene's travels around post-Franco Spain in the late 1970s. Greene's frequent trips to Spain, and his travels around the country with his great friend, the priest Father Duran, were to inspire his novel Monsignor Quixote, recently dramatized on BBC Radio 4.
