Lopa Kothari is joined by Songlines magazine editor Jo Frost to announce the winners of the Songlines Music Awards 2016. Plus new music from across the globe, and BBC Introducing artist Yaz Fentazi live in session.

The nominees for this year's Songlines Awards embrace artists from around the world, including Portuguese fado star Mariza, Canadian folk band Le Vent du Nord, Indian classical artist Anouskar Shankar and Malian newcomers Songhoy Blues. The award categories are Best Artist, Best Group, Fusion and Newcomers, plus - new for this year - four geographical categories, Africa and Middle East, Americas, Europe, also Asia and South Pacific.

BBC Introducing artist Yaz Fentazi, an oud virtuoso from Algeria, performs live with percussionist Samir Nacer and bass player Robyn Hemmings. Their style is described as a 'breathtakingly rootsy blend of Gnawa, Chaabi, Andalusian music, jazz and blues'.
