Verity Sharp marks the start of May with seasonal shoots and roots from different parts of the world. We'll hear original English folk music recorded during the annual May Day celebrations at Padstow in Cornwall, International Workers Day protest songs, and songs to put a Spring in your step.

We also hear new releases from experimental guitarist Stian Westerhus and Pedro Soler and Gaspar Claus, a father and son flamenco duo.
