The Reverend Daniel Berrigan, the American Catholic priest who devoted his life to campaigning for peace. He was arrested many times for protests against the Vietnam War and nuclear weapons.

Jenny Diski who wrote celebrated novels, essays including her travelogue Skating to Antarctica and her latest memoir In Gratitude.

Lord Walton, the eminent neurologist who wrote an influential paper on muscle diseases.

Revd Daniel Berrigan (pictured)

Born 9 May 1921; died 30 April 2016 aged 94.

Jenny Diski

Lord Walton of Detchant

Eminent neurologist who wrote an influential paper on muscle diseases. Matthew spoke to his friend and colleague, Professor Volker Straub.

Born 16 September 1922; died 21 April 2016 aged 93.

Guy Woolfenden

Composer and long serving musical director at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Sir Trevor Nunn and Guy’s lifelong friend, Tim Reynish pay tribute.

Born 12 July 1937; died 15 April 2016 aged 78.
