Irvine Welsh

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie: chuntering the afternoon away so you don't have to! Today they're joined by writer Irvine Welsh, who's here to talk about his latest novel. It resurrects a character from his 1993 debut that earned him worldwide acclaim - Trainspotting. He's since written 10 novels including Filth, Glue and Skagboys - some of which have also been turned into films - as well as shorter fiction books. The adaptation of Porno (Trainspotting's sequel) is due to begin filming, starring the original cast (Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle) and directed by Danny Boyle.

With Teatime Themetime, when you guess the link between 3 tunes and lots of splendid music to accompany you through the afternoon till Steve Lamacq o'clock. Apart from that - you just sit back and enjoy the music, my friend.
