Simon welcomes Ryan Graudin to the Radio 2 Book Club, to discuss her latest book for teens, Wolf By Wolf.
Ryan was born and raised by the sea in Charleston, South Carolina. She grew up on a steady diet of fairytales, salt-marshes, music and brothers who would re-enact Redwall battles with her in the backyard. She went to an artsy sort of school that allowed cello recitals in the hallways and impromptu poetry slams in the canteen. It was there she decided that writing was what she wanted to do more than anything.
And so she did. Ryan went to the College of Charleston and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Creative Writing. Once graduated, she met the love of her life and got married when she was 21. Together, they started traveling the world and never really stopped.
Ryan has taught English in South Korea, farmed in New Zealand, hiked through Peru and spied on lions in Kenya, to name but a few things.
She still lives close to the sea, with her husband and wolf-dog.
As well as Book Club, Simon will unleash a brand new Confession and Matt Williams will have the latest sport news.
