As part of Radio 3's Young Artists Day, Ian Skelly presents a special edition of Afternoon on 3 featuring performances of music by Bartok, Schoenberg, Richard Strauss and Mendelssohn by youth orchestras from Spain and Switzerland. With contributions from three of today's young musicians: the video artist Ruth Spencer, the composer Lloyd Coleman and the oboist and composer, Michael Sluman.
